About Cream Stone Health

Cream Stone Healthcare CIC was established in August 2017. We are a new branded social enterprise created in this special period of increasing health demands due to chronic diseases in other to improve the wellbeing of people and help to meet their social needs within the communities. Many people are healthy financially, but there is vast variation in the poverty of health across our communities. It is a Company founded on helping people with various health challenges and to meet their physical, emotional, social, mental and family wellbeing after hospital discharges.

The CEO

Dr James Alegbeleye is the CEO and he is a Medical Practitioner- a Physician with many years of experience. His interest includes Geriatric Medicine, Surgical Liaison, Gerontology, Ageing, Medical Innovation and Divine healing. His other interests include Leadership and Management, Organizational growth and Development.  He is also a writer and an entrepreneur. He has collaborated with other health experts to deliver this program for the people in the communities.

 ‘The biomedical model of health’ explains the role of certain biological determinants and explains disease as a condition caused by external pathogens or disorders in the functions of organs and body systems. Now that chronic non-infectious diseases prevail, its efficacy has not only become questionable, but also the issue has been raised of its economic justification. “The status of the “Biopsychosocial” Model in health psychology is contested and arguably exists in a stage of infancy. Despite original goals, medical research has developed theoretical and empirical integrations across bio-psycho-social domains only to a limited extent. Overall, a multilevel integrative or “holistic” perspective is advanced to strengthen the Biopsychosocial Model for use within health psychology and biomedical research. Therefore, the 6D of health has included not just the physical, social, familial, emotional, but also the spiritual and mental domains of health. This concept provides a more comprehensive approach to the ‘biopsychosocial model of health’.

Cream Stone Chronic Disease Model  

One of the great beast of this century is the increased incidence of chronic diseases and the challenges they present not just to the NHS but worldwide. It is estimated that in Great Britain more that 17 million people may be living with a chronic disease. By 2030, the estimate is that the incidence of chronic disease in the over 65s will more than double. Chronic diseases are those that can only be treated and not, at present, cured. They include diabetes, heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, arthritis, dementia and a range of disabling neurological conditions. The people with chronic diseases have increased demand for health care services in secondary and emergency care – waiting lists, demand, workforce, improving other services and prescribing.
